Favorite designers - Mary Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou is an amazing designer, who has transformed the way I think of prints.
When I saw the resort 2014 collection, I felt that I had almost found a whole new world of fashion.
If I was rich, I would buy almost all of her dresses, because all of them are true showstoppers.
The way she mixes flower patterns and high tech neon details into the prints, and then creates a simple yet really sophisticated dress, are truly inspiring, and I look forward to seeing what she does next.

Check out her website and the shop with all of her amazing designs here

Rich kid

This is actually one of my favorite photoshoots, because we took the photos on many different locations
- in the garden, in the living room, by the pool and in the bedroom.
Also we experimented with my mothers old clothes, that got me thinking of a 90's rich kid.

Strawberry cake

Today I deciced to make a strawberry cake, which I didn't regret!

Make a pound cake and cut it in half. Then slice around 400 g strawberries and make whipped cream with a hand mixer.

Let the cake stay in the fridge for 30 min.

Et voilá! .. Bon Apetit

DIY - personal sweatshirt

When you need to make a gift, but don't have the time to make it from scratch, a personalized gift is a good solution. In this case it's a simple crop-top sweatshirt from HM, that I personalized as a gift to my sister.

Here's what you need:
 - a basic sweatshirt
 - some thick fabric, like felt
 - a scissor and a white marker
 - and off course a sewing machine

When you have all your materials, you need figure out what you want to write. I wrote my sisters nickname, and her favorite number.

Then you have to measure how big you want the letters and numbers to be, and draw them on the felt.
Remember to draw "mirrored", because you will be turning the letters and numbers around.

Then you just pin the felt letters/numbers to the sweatshirt...

... and zig-zag all the way around them.

TIP: it's best to start with the inner-circel in the zero's and the o's, because the fabric will wrinkle in a weird way if you don't. And then you are done!

Thoughts about fashion sketches

I was making an assignment about body images, and I found these pictures.
They are not nice to look at, but they tell a story about the fashion industry and the way they like to portray women in a very unrealistic and unhealthy way.

Since I like to do fashion sketches my self, I have now promised my self never to draw fashion sketches like this. My own fashion sketches does not represent the normal body image though... But that's just because I'm not that good at drawing yet. Which you can see on my latest fashion illustration, where the proportions are realy wrong, which I first noticed when I was done... And sorry for the bad quality
