Scarfs from "left overs"

A few years ago, I was so lucky to get a big bag filled with "left over" fabrics from different fashion companies. I off course thought that left over fabric, meant small pieces of fabric in "fat quarter" sizes. But to my big surprise, some of the fabric left overs were so big that you easily could make a skirt out of them!

One part of me were horrified, that the companies could just throw fabric away like that. The other part of me were just thrilled, because I now had a bag filled with fabric, that I could use to almost anything.

So I started with the smaller pieces, which you can see aren't small at all, to sew some scarfs.

If you scroll down a little, you will find the jumpsuit that I made for my sister. And the colored fabric on the one half, is actually also some of the left over fabric. Right now I am working on 2 skirts, from the leftover fabric, and I will post them as soon as they are done :-)

Denim photoshoot

When I was looking through my closet, I found out that I actually has quite a few denim pieces. I knew I had a lot of denim jeans, but I also found a denim skirt, overall and jacket at the bottom of my closet.
I have always loved editorials, where they are wearing denim from head to toe - so why not make one my self?

Mewze challenge - bridesmaid dress

I just found this amazing website! The website, called http://www.mewze.com/, gives everyone a chance to submit their design, and if it wins, it will be produced and sold on their website.

The current design challenge, is to design a dress for the bridesmaid. An interesting challenge, because your design off course needs to be pretty, but not so it will take the attention away from the bride.
My idea of a perfect bridesmaid dress, is a cute little dress, that can fit all sort of body types and personalities. This is the design that i came up with:

If you like it, I would be really happy if you would vote for it at: http://www.mewze.com/view/?chal=cute-bow-dress. I am pretty sure that you don't need to register, you can just connect with Facebook! Thanks a lot :-)

Figure skating fashion

Figure skating must be one of the most fashionable sports in the world!
And I am so lucky that my really good friend, Sofia, is a figure skater.
We designed and made two dresses together, for her short and long program.

The first one is inspired by the black swan, and is supposed to be dark and mysterious.

The other one is the exact opposite, it was inspired by Romeo and Juliet, and is white and romantic.

DIY - Slave bracelet

Sometimes I find something special on the street, just like that... A long time ago I found this beautiful pendant, and today I found out what I was going to use it to.

I haven been looking at these slave bracelets for a long time, and even though I like simple, I thought that just making it with chain would be a bit boring. But then I thought of the pendant, and it was perfect as a beautiful detail.

To make this slave bracelet (or one that looks like it) you'll need:

 - chain
 - a pendant (with holes so you can add 3 jump rings to it)
 - 6 jumprings
 - plyers
 - lobster clasps (I think they are called that, but it's what closes the bracelet)
 - (I used nail polish to put on the pendant, because a stone was missing)

When you got what you need, you just have to cut the chain into 4 pieces.

The first one goes around your middle finger and are connected with a jump ring.

The second one is then added to the jumping that connected the finger chain, and then you add it to a jump ring that are connected with the pendant, in the other end.

Then you add a chain to each side of the pendant, and finally you add a lobster clasps to one of the bracelet chains, and a jump ring to the other, and then you're done!
